Computer Science students competed amongst college students and industry professionals in Carnegie Mellon's picoCTF, a rigorous Capture the Flag competition, where students were challenged to solve puzzles in cryptography, digital forensics, hacking, and more. Bravo CS students!

Our students are officially among the best in the world! 🌍 We are incredibly proud to celebrate these talented individuals from LHS and EHS who recently competed in a major coding and technical competition. As you can see from the stats, our students aren't just competing—they are excelling, with several ranking in the Top 16-20% in the entire country and the Top 18-22% globally! 📈 Whether they are collaborating over pizza or diving deep into complex code, their dedication to excellence is unmatched. Congratulations to Banni, Thatcher, Eric, Tyson, Theo, Ethan, Dante, and Julian on these phenomenal results!

How does Englewood get its water? Our CompSci students just found out. Big thanks to Huffman Engineering Inc for an incredible workshop! Our EPIC CompSci students got to design and implement real PLC circuits; network with industry engineers, and learned about the systems that allow us to have fresh, clean water.

Our students are diving deep into the world of systems and engineering! In these photos, you can see our learners getting up close with water filtration technology and complex control systems. It’s one thing to read about it in a textbook, but seeing the science in action—and troubleshooting the real-world mechanics behind it—is where the real magic happens. We love seeing our students lean in, ask questions, and collaborate on these technical challenges. Way to go, LPS innovators!

Future Educators took a work site tour to the Colleges of Education at CU-Denver and Metro State!

Our future educators recently took a trip to MSU Denver to explore their School of Education! Students had the chance to tour the campus, sit in a real university lecture hall, and learn more about the pathways to becoming a teacher. From meeting with college advisors to posing with the MSU Denver lynx, it was a day filled with inspiration and
